When life gives you lemons...

Fall is here! 

It's beautiful, but it's about to wreak havoc on our skin.  With winter on the way we face (pun intended!) cold winds, snow, a running furnace, a blasting car heater, and they all dry out and damage our skin. 

It's time to take a some preventative measures when it comes to our skin.  The first thing everyone should do this:

Drinking Hot Water & Lemon in the Morning

Drink warm lemon water first thing in the morning. 

It's easy, inexpensive, and it tastes good!
  • Squeeze the juice of one half of a lemon.
  • Heat one cup of water in the microwave for about 2 minutes (you want it warm/hot, not too hot to drink). 
  • When the water is done add the lemon juice.
  • Sip before your coffee and your breakfast. 
WHY do this?  Because:

1.  Lemon will help your liver and kidneys clear the toxins from your body, thus making you feel better overall!
2. Warm lemon water boosts your immune system, because lemons are high in vitamin C, which as we all know is great for fighting colds!
3. Lemons can help with weight loss.  They are high in pectin fiber, which curbs hunger cravings.
4. Lemons help you to have clear skin. The vitamin C helps with blemishes and wrinkles.  Lemon also purges toxins, which helps keep your skin clear.
5. They aid your digestion.  The lemon juice encourages the liver to produce bile which is an acid required for digestion.  This reduces heartburn!
6. Reduce bloating because lemons are a diuretic, with increases the rate of urination. 
7. Vitamin C is depleted when you are stressed.  Stay in your happy place with lemon water!

These are just a FEW of the many benefits to drinking warm lemon water.  Try it for a couple of weeks and see what you think!  Of course I'd be happy to hear you thoughts!
